Just for Summer
Your complete dinner consists of soup or a salad of leaf lettuce and fresh raw
vegetables with the house dressings of Lemon Herb. Yogurt Cheese. Parsley
Mayonnaise: selected entree, fresh vegetable and home baked bread. Some
young people's portions available. A la carte dinner is served without soup or
salad, less one dollar. Smacznego!
Bigos - Polish Hunter's Stew Every ancient Polish manor has its own Bigos
recipe, a most delectable dish, served at every hunting party from a mighty
pot cooking over a great fire, with glasses of crystal clear Wodka!
A combination of Chata-made pickled cabbage, beef, smoked pork, sausage.

With whole Polish Kielbasa Sausage and Dijon mustard. 9.75
Sausage For Dinner Smoked Polish Kielbasa Sausage, mildly garlic flavored
or peppery Hungarian Sausage served with boiled potato, dinner vegetables

Musaka A Balkan dish, layers of toasted eggplant, onion, tomato, green
pepper, minced meat, baked with a sauce of cream, egg and cheese.
Garnished with yogurt. 9.00
Braised Lamb Shank Simmered in wine with herbs, served with
Baklazhannaia Ikra (eggplant caviar), long grain brown rice or gryka (toasted
buckweat groats and mushroomsl. garnished with fresh mint sprig. 9.50
Jarsld Obiad A dinner of all the vegetables that are being served on tonight's
menu with a choice of boiled potato or brown rice, with eggplant caviar. 6.50
MamaHga de Aur "Bread of Gold", a staple of Rumanian peasants, is
cornmeal which Chata serves sauteed sprinkled with cheddar and caraway
jack cheeses, in a sauce of fresh mushrooms, cream and wine. '-85
Co Za Bhnba! Three quarter pound T-bone Steak sauteed to order with
fresh mushrooms. Meat continues to be a scarce item in Poland, with lines
outside of meat markets a common sight. A person being served such a piece
of meat might exclaim. "Co za bimba! What a party!'' 11.95
Zupy The soups of the day are prepared at Chata with fresh stocks and
vegetables. A choice of meat or non-meat soup is usually offered. A tureen of
soup for dinner is served with tossed green salad selection of house dressings.

mushrooms, eggplant caviar, a sprinkling of chopped tomatoes, grated
caraway jack and cheddar cheeses and pumpkin seeds. Served with three

Salat OHvier A pyramid of tart chicken salad mixed with potatoes, onions.
dill pickles, hard cooked eggs, celery, apples, with sour cream caper dressing.
Served with fresh fruit, home baked bread and soup.
Sirniki Russian Cheese Cakes sauteed to a golden brown, served with sour
cream, dinner vegetables and fresh fruit. Choice of soup or salad and home
baked bread.

seed, hazel nut or walnut. Polish honey cake, linzer
torte, rum baba, Hungarian cream cake with fruit in
season, pot de creme au chocolat. bavaots. A tray will
be brought to the table from which to make
your selection.
