Peggy Clark bought it in November of 1976 and began its transformation into a latter day Tudor hash house." -From The Seattle Times review on May 11, 1979. The Canterbury also served jojos, a regional term for thick potato wedges usually fried in the same oil as chicken. The Times reviewer described them as "a kind of gross fried potato." As of 2012, the Canterbury was still in operation.
