Description	Program of concert featuring pianist Raymond Trouard at the Century 21 Exposition (Seattle World's Fair), sponsored by the Government of France Exhibit. “A year’s study in Paris for a young Washington State pianist was assured last night at the Opera House as patrons and a large audience contributed $1,680 to a scholarship fund organized by the French Exhibit at the World’s Fair. The attraction was a recital by Raymond Trouard, noted French pianist, making his American debut on the invitation of exhibit officials and the French government. Alexandre Koltchak, manager of the French Exhibit, reported the $1,680 total and indicated ‘more was coming’ in pledges. He also announced the winner of statewide auditions will study with Trouard free of charge, the money thus being made available for the student’s transportation and living expenses. Trouard’s program was heavily romantic from beginning to end. After opening with Beethoven’s Sonata, Opus 57 (‘Appasionata’), he clicked off six works by Chopin and five by Liszt.” (Louis R.
